It arrived intact and ready to play. I haven't noticed any issues with glue or anything like some people have brought up. There isn't any structural damage to it either, so I'd say that it's good quality. No visible defects/damage on the surface either. As a beginner with a few years of trumpet, playing a drone took all but five minutes, and it's been really fun playing new sounds and modifying the drone for a few hours today. I'll update this review after I travel a bit with it, and after a few months of use.My first impressions are that it's very light, has a good sound to it, and is a blast to play.

I wanted to get back into practicing for music, for breath work and alertness, and for fun. What a fun item to practice on my long daily commute or to take a break after hours on the computer!

Great for travelling. Very lightweight. Not too loud which can be good or bad, depending on your needs. Sound is decent. Pretty difficult to do some techniques like toots and vocalizations for a beginner like me. Much easier to do on full size didges.

I have found this to be very good for practice. Just do things the way one would on a normal didj. Some have noted it doesn't sound like a didgeridoo. It is deeper than my C sharp didj. I would guesstimate about a B. That deepness may be the source of those complaints. It not a loud didj but the small size means more practice time and skill enjancemeny

Keeps a teenager amused for ages.

I like that its easier to hold & carry with you., that way you have more time to practice , dislike because it should have came with a mouth piece, most beginners wouldnt know that they need to buy a $8 mouth piece

Very nice tone and tamber. It took mgrs about a day to perfect my drone. Nice finish on it, beautiful mahogany wood and a nice smooth touch. You must play this with the side of your mouth. As an experienced trombone player, I thought it'd be similar. I was wrong but happy to explore the possibilities.

Not the ethnic look, but the sound is pure didgeridoo.

PRO: The sound is pretty good for the size of the airway. It's great for practice and fits easily in a bag. One of the features that I've enjoyed is being able to cup my hand on the end of it and really get a good idea of what sound is coming out.CON: One of the seems on the side isn't fit correctly, making it not air tight. This is easily fixed by applying some wood sealant or beeswax.

My three year old loves this and so do I! After he played this for a while he's able to get a good buzz on brass instruments too. It provides a very nice sound without being large and is quiet enough that it doesn't bother the neighbors. Nice wood that responds well to clap sticks and beaters. Perfect diameter opening for different size mouths. Decent back pressure, but we haven't done real circular breathing quite yet. Great that we can take it in the car and on trips without thinking twice. Combine with a DVD like Grahm Doe's Learn to Play and this is an excellent beginner's choice.

Nice way to practice and have fun messing around without having to hold onto a big, heavy thing. Mouth hole is pretty small. Not so loud, but considering what it is, what can you expect. The craftsmanship on mine is fine.

Love this little didge. I take it with me wherever I go to keep my lips in good shape, particularly when I travel. But it's also nice to just sit with it and play when you don't want to fool with a full size didge... lying down, sitting in a rocking chair, whatever. It's lightweight, and has a fantastic sound. Good back pressure. Also a good way to start playing without investing in a full-size didge, very easy to learn on. Get one!

When I get time I will record my husband playing. He is a longtime didgeridoo player, and a massage therapist who sometimes wants to incorporate sound into his sessions. The tone of this travel version didg is surprisingly rich. Im very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone who wants a real instrument, which is also easily portable.

Absolutely love this!I used to make and play Digeridoo for years, and stumbled upon these from a YouTube video. Had to get one. Looks well made for the price, I was droning away within 20 seconds. Great gift idea, and will fit in my backpack

This digeridoo is a fun one, only disappointing part is that it only comes in one tone.

Sound is not as loud as I expected or as how its portrayed in the adverts. What can you expect from a yidaki that's a size of a book? Great product overall. Very happy!

I was surprised how well it plays. The sound is good and so much easier to travel with than a full size didge.I tried carrying a regular didge on a plane once, but TSA rejected it saying it was a bludgeon weapon.

Pretty and sounds good to me. Fits in my bag. Just what I was after.

A very fair price for a good product. Better harmonics and vocals than I had expected but it needs to be played softer then most didges to bring out the good tonal quality

I was s as bit sceptical about ordering one but looked at YouTube vids of them and decided to go for it as wanted to take one with me out on the road, these are a great sounding and easy to use didge, it just does exactly what I need it to and thats made me happy

Compact, but better sounding than traditional didge. Great to take kayaking or to the beach.

This didgeridoo is akin to the Bose Wave system: its tone and volume surprise one considering its compact size. I love my full size, full throated eucalyptus didgeridoo, but at 50 inches and several pounds, it ain't something you just pick up and play! The Meinl DIDG-BOX is light, very compact and, most important, very rewarding across a surprisingly broad tonal spectrum. In fact, this delightful mini-dirge is the perfect counterpoint to muted TV commercials!

This is my favorite Didgeridoo now. I own a few large full size didges. I keep this one in my car to play while Im in traffic. Its so much fun to play. Its not at loud as the full size. I can sit in a room and play and not bother anyone else in the house. Its weighs nothing and is so portable.
